Paro, Punakha & Paro

Day 1 Paro – Thimphu

Enjoy the beautiful view of Himalayan ranges on your flight to Bhutan and drive to the capital city of Thimphu through the gorgeous landscapes following the Paro chu and Thimphu Chu. Make a stop at Tachog Lhakhang, built by legendary bridge-builder Thangtong Gyelpo. After visiting the National Memorial Chorten, the Buddha Dordenma statue giantly sits atop the hills overlooking the Thimphu valley. Visit charming Thimphu city before you leave for the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2 Explore Thimphu

Unfold your day visiting the oldest changangkha Lhakhang, famous for getting auspicious names for newborn babies and blessings for the children, followed by The folk Heritage Museum and the National Textile Museum. Visit the National Institute of Zorig Chusum, where talented young students teach and practice traditional arts. Finally, visit the most majestic Tashichho Dzong. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3 Thimphu – Punakha

After your breakfast, enjoy driving to the magical Punakha valley. First, stopover at Dochula pass to enjoy the panoramic view of Himalayan ranges and the beautiful sights of 108 stupas. Next, visit the famous fertility temple located at the hilltop on your way to Punakha valley. Then, visit majestic Punakha Dzong, beautifully built at the confluence of two rivers and the longest suspension bridge of the valley adorned with colorful prayer flags. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 4 Punakha – Paro

Enjoy your morning with beautiful landscapes and warm weather. Then, retrace to iconic Paro valley by visiting Simtokha Dzong, the first dzong (a fortress built by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyel. Make a stop on your journey as you get good sights to enjoy. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5 Paro Festival

Today will be our highlights of the trip cheering up the famous Paro festival. Thousands of locals and visitors will be cheering the celebrations wearing colorful costumes and performing masks and cultural dances. So enjoy mingling with a people and experiences of the unique cultural festival. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 6 Paro Festival

Probably it will be the last day of the festival, visit the festival ground early morning, a gigantic impressive silk Thangka (embroid Paintings) will be displayed and believed that one can clean their sins and get blessed with all good in life. Then, visit Paro Rinpong dzong, the National Museum, and the oldest 7th-century Kyichu Lhakhang. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 7 Explore Paro

Hike to famous Takshang monastery stands on a sheer cliff

with an elevation of 3000 m.

Discover the legendary history and meditate for a while. Then, walk back and visit the oldest Kyichu, Lhakhang. One of the 108 sites established by the Tibetan Emperor in the 7th century, Spend some time in the beautiful Paro town with our representatives. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 8 Departure

Today, our representatives will escort you to the Paro international airport for your departure.
